The Tiggo Cross HEV is South Africa’s most affordable self-charging hybrid — launched in June 2025, undercutting the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV by R54,500. It uses a 1.5-litre NA petrol plus an electric motor for 150 kW / 310 Nm system output and claims 5.4 L/100 km combined. Two grades: Comfort (R439,900) and Elite (R469,900). A 10-year/unlimited km battery warranty applies.
