The GWM P300 is the most significant bakkie in GWM’s South African line-up. Launched as a thorough facelift of the P-Series in early 2025, the P300 challenges the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, and Isuzu D-Max in South Africa’s fiercely competitive double cab market.
A new 2.4-litre turbodiesel (135 kW / 480 Nm) mates to a 9-speed automatic. The base 2.0TD (120 kW / 400 Nm) is retained in SX and commercial derivatives. Even mid-range derivatives include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charging, LED headlights, and six airbags. The flagship LTD brings factory-fitted diff locks, a winch, snorkel, and underbody protection. All P300 models are backed by a 7-year/200,000 km warranty and 7-year/75,000 km service plan.
