The Haval H9 is a body-on-frame, ladder-chassis 7-seat SUV. The second-generation model has been confirmed for a return to the South African market, with GWM SA describing it as definitely planned. As of mid-2026, an official launch date had not been confirmed.

The new H9 adopts a boxy, upright design with circular headlights, a barn-style tailgate, and short overhangs. Built on a 2,850 mm wheelbase. GWM SA has indicated a strong preference for the 2.4TD unit (135 kW / 480 Nm) for South Africa.
