The JAC X200 EV is a world first: the first right-hand-drive battery-electric forward-cab light commercial vehicle in South Africa. Launched in February 2025 at R679,900. Powered by a 50 kW / 105 kW peak electric motor (300 Nm) and a 63.75 kWh CATL LFP battery. Claimed range of 230 km.

Payload is a class-leading 1,900 kg — 400 kg more than the diesel X200 single cab. DC fast charging takes 20–80% in approximately 35 minutes. Electronically limited to 90 km/h for its urban delivery focus. JAC claims over 50% savings in energy costs versus diesel.
